It was never clear whether Murdock was
insane, or just putting on his weird behaviour. A brilliant pilot he
lived in a psychiatric hospital but regularly escaped to help out The
A-Team with their adventures. BA found Murdoch's behaviour particularly
disturbing, and referred to him as "crazy fool". Murdoch didn't seem to
mind.
Dwight Schultz found it difficult to get work after the show and was
concerned about being typecast. He managed to turn his skills to sci-fi
shows with roles in Babylon 5, Star Trek and Stargate. He's also
appeared in Diagnosis Murder, Family Guy and Ben 10, voiced video games
and used to host a Howling Mad Radio show where he discussed the USA and
world politics. Who'd have thought it?
